 Biography :
 
   

Engaged on October 2nd of 1943 in Fort Dix (New Jersey), he has a basic training in the Infantry School of Fort Benning (Georgia) from October 1943 to January 1944 . He is assigned in February 1944 to Company I, 377th Infantry Regiment of the 95th Division in Indiantown Gap (Pennsylvania).

He arrives in France with his Division in September 1944. He begins to fight in October 1944 and is wounded November 8th in Maizières-les-Metz (Moselle) at Château Brieux  He is evacuated and returns in the USA on December 26th, 1944. Until August 17th 1946, he had been in many hospitals of the USA:  the

US Army Hospitals, the England General Hospital in Atlantic City ( New Jersey) , the Mc Guire General Hospital in Richmond (Virginia) and finally the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.

He is Honorably Discharged from the Army in this last Hospital on August 17th, 1946.
